Matthew N. Steinberg, AICP

Associate Matt Steinberg is a certified planner with over thirteen years of experience in environmental and land use matters in both the public and private sector. He is responsible for coordination and preparation of site feasibility studies, zoning compliance analysis, environmental impact statements, and managing land use application submissions.

Matt has recently served as project manager for the preparation of the environmental impact statement for Pace University’s Pleasantville Campus Master Plan, in Mount Pleasant, New York. Matt has extensive knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) that has added advanced mapping and geographic analysis to several projects, including a project for a major urban hospital to merge existing client database records with public GIS data to create powerful spatially-based databases used for confidential urban site assembly, marketing and decision-making purposes.

Before joining the firm in 2006, Matt served as a staff planner for the Town of Greenwich, Connecticut’s Land Use Department where he performed site plan and subdivision review, prepared special planning studies and conducted demographic research and analysis. He has a Bachelor of Science in Historic Preservation from Roger Williams University and a Masters of Regional Planning from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
