Brian Dempsey, P.E., PTOE, RSP1

Partner Brian Dempsey has been employed by the firm since 1986, mainly specializing in Traffic Engineering.  With over 35 years of experience at the firm, Brian has been involved in a variety of private development and infrastructure improvement projects as well as representing numerous municipalities as well as various Counties and States.   He has served as the Traffic Engineer for Planning Boards and Zoning Boards.  Brian has also conducted studies for numerous schools including various Safe Routes to School Programs.

Brian is experienced in a variety of Traffic Engineering services encompassing Traffic Engineering Studies, Traffic Planning Studies, Traffic Signal Design, Traffic Calming Studies, Pedestrian Studies, Parking Studies and Safety studies as well as providing construction services.  He is a licensed Professional Engineer in six states (New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Ohio) and is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer as well as a Road Safety Professional.

Brian is a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and serves on various committees including the Trip Generation Committee and Parking Generation Committee) as well as has made presentations on Traffic and Pedestrian Safety at regional and International ITE Conferences.  Brian has also been involved in various ITE publications, including one that received the Best Publication of the Year Award.  He has also presented to other organizations such as the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation.

Brian has served as the volunteer Chairman of the Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Committee of his hometown for over two decades, including hosting Bicycle Rodeos for children as well as Child Car Seat checks.  He is also a member of the Westchester County Traffic Safety Board.  Brian is a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in Civil Engineering and currently mentors Villanova Engineering Students.  He also has a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Fordham University.  Prior to working at the firm, Brian was an Engineer Interned with Westchester County.
