Life Time Fitness began work on its new Harrison, New York facility with a groundbreaking ceremony that featured the commencement of demolition activities at the former Journal News building on Gannett Drive. DTS is providing site engineering, landscape architecture, approval process and construction services for the project, which is expected to be completed by Spring 2014. “We are excited about our expansion in the New York market and the opportunity to bring our unique, family-oriented healthy way of life destination to the Harrison community,” said Jeff Zwiefel, LTF executive vice president and chief of operations. With 105 facilities throughout North America, the Harrison branch of Life Time Fitness will be one of its largest, with more than 400 pieces of state-of-the-art exercise equipment, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a tennis center, a rock-climbing wall, a full-service spa, and a cafe.
