MID-LEVEL PLANNER
Based in White Plains, New York, DTS Provident is a team of land use professionals who help clients to achieve successful and sustainable development projects. JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking energetic, thoughtful and creative individuals to become integral members of our firm and collaborate with staff, consultants, and clients on a wide range of assignments. Candidates for this position will have a background in the areas of land planning, zoning, entitlements, site planning and design, due diligence, presentation graphics, and project coordination. Experience with document preparation associated with the New York SEQR process and municipal land use approvals is a plus. Ideal candidates will have excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple assignments and work independently or in a team environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mid-level Planner (3-5 years’ experience) – Responsibilities may include:
- Conduct data collection, research, and analysis to support planning projects.
- Prepare planning analyses, including those associated with zoning, entitlements, and environmental review including, NYS Environmental Assessment Forms (EAF) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS)
- Prepare GIS mapping, written reports, presentations and graphics for client meetings and public meetings.
- Coordinate the planning process for various projects, including preparing applications, attending meetings with clients and agencies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Meet and work with project schedules and required deliverables.
- Attend evening municipal meetings on behalf of clients, as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required.
- Certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is preferred and is encouraged when employee becomes eligible.
- Proficiency in or aptitude to learn software:
- Microsoft Office programs, Bluebeam
- AutoCAD, ArcGIS, IMPLAN
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Developed written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in multidisciplinary practice with landscape architects, land planners and civil engineers

Commensurate with experience, the salary range for the Mid-level Planner position is $70,000-$100,000.
